About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic, self‑motivated, and adaptable Pharmacy Technician with strong communication and interpersonal skills, who will work closely with pharmacists and other health‑care professionals to deliver Medicines Management services at ward level.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support ward pharmacists with medicines reconciliation for newly admitted patients and assessment of patients’ own drugs.
  • Provide original pack dispensing, patient counselling, and coordinate the supply of discharge medicines.
  • Ensure Medicines Management is delivered safely, effectively, economically, and timely.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and procedures in line with current legislation and guidelines.
  • Assist the Pharmacy Technician Specialist (Medicines Management) in developing and maintaining the ward‑level Medicines Management service.
  • Support induction and training of pharmacy technicians, PTPTs, and trainee pharmacists.
