A leading healthcare provider in Bath is seeking Band 5 Physiotherapists for a permanent rotational post. Responsibilities include assessment and treatment across various specialities. This role is ideal for newly qualified physiotherapists or those looking to gain experience in acute settings. The position offers a supportive training environment and opportunities for career development.
We currently have vacancies for Band 5 Physiotherapists to join a comprehensive rotation scheme on a permanent basis. Rotations include respiratory care, surgical and ITU, neurology, outpatients and hydrotherapy, orthopaedics, rheumatology, care of the elderly, general medicine and community partners (e.g. community teams or outpatient services).
Successful candidates will participate in an on‑call training programme completed in a supportive environment with simulation training.
In the summer of 2019 a new Therapies and RNHRD department opened with state‑of‑the‑art equipment, gym and hydrotherapy pool. The department will improve patient experience and therapy integration.
The therapies department is forward‑thinking with new projects and monthly CPD sessions for all therapies. Each rotation has in‑service training and competencies. A newly developed MDT preceptorship programme supports newly registered staff in their first year.
This rotational post is designed to provide broad experience in the following clinical areas: outpatients, rheumatology, medical, ITU, community, surgical, elderly care, stroke, Hospital at Home, orthopaedics. Candidates will perform high‑standard physiotherapeutic assessment, diagnosis and treatment of diverse presentations and complex physical and psychological conditions.
Clinicians will hold responsibility for their own case load and be accountable for defined service areas or patient types, working with supervision when required. Supervision includes formal training, clinical reasoning sessions, peer review and case conferences.
The role is suitable for newly qualified physiotherapists, students due to qualify, or therapists with some experience who want to develop in acute settings or gain experience in a range of areas.
Participation in emergency on‑call and weekend rotas will be part of the role, with varying work patterns across rotations.
