Summary

Join our dynamic pharmacy team to deliver an efficient, effective, and safe pharmaceutical service. As a Band 5 Rotational Pharmacy Technician, you will rotate through Dispensary and Clinical areas, participating in various activities. Responsibilities include the preparation, dispensing, and issuing of medicines, including clinical trial products and Controlled Drugs (CDs), responding to prescriptions or requisitions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake dispensary activities, ensuring accuracy in preparation and dispensing of medicines.
  • Provide clinical and ward services under the direction of the Lead Clinical Technician.
  • Offer pharmaceutical advice to ward staff, patients, and carers within your competency.
  • Assist senior Dispensary staff in supervising, training, and coaching pharmacy support workers/student technicians.
  • Contribute to the daily organization of the dispensary.
  • Participate in late-duty, weekend, and Bank Holiday rotas.
Requirements
  • Valid pharmacy technician qualification.
  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
  • Proven experience in dispensary and clinical settings.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
