Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust in Derby is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the School Nursing service during an exciting development phase. You will work under the lead SCPHN, supporting the 0-19 public health framework to meet the holistic needs of children and families.

You will assess health needs, implement and evaluate intervention programmes for a defined school health caseload, and collaborate with partner agencies to deliver a seamless service, with safeguarding

Qualifications

• Qualified nurse registered with the NMC.
• Experience in public health or school nursing is preferable.

Responsibilities

• Assess the health needs of school age children and young people within the 0-19 framework.
• Implement and evaluate programmes of intervention for a defined school health caseload.
• Work collaboratively with partners to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Provide safeguarding supervision and support within the team.

You will work under the lead of the Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (SCPHN), working within the public health framework (0-19), to meet the prioritised holistic needs of family's children & young people. For this post you will need to be proactive and enthusiastic as you will be key to assessing the health needs of children and young people and implementing and evaluating programmes of intervention for a defined school health caseload., Assessing the health needs of school age children and young people. Implementing and evaluating programmes of intervention for a defined school age caseload. Work within the 0-19 framework ensuring a seamless service to the family. To work collaboratively and in partnership with other agencies and partners, ensuring a seamless delivery of services. To hold child protection responsibilities within a caseload with support/supervision from the named SCPHN in line with service delivery and local policies.
