Job summary

A registered hospice charity in Oxford seeks a Band 5 Registered Nurse for part-time or full-time roles. This position involves providing compassionate care and support to life-limited children and their families. Role Summary

Band 5 Registered Nurse – part‑time or full‑time (22.5 – 37.5 hours per week).
Location: Helen House, Oxford.
Salary: HDH Band 5 £33,636 – £40,483 per annum (pro‑rata).
Closing date: 18th December 2025 at 12 noon.

Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist support to children, young people and families during their most vulnerable moments.
  • Advocate for patients, building trust through compassionate, patient‑centred care.
  • Focus on comfort and quality of life, prioritising the needs of children, young people and families.
  • Deliver individualised, restful care based on each child's unique needs.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, contributing to continuous improvement of care delivery.
Qualifications
  • Registered RN (RNC/RSCN/RNLD) with paediatric experience, or RN (RGN) adult nurse with significant experience working with babies, children and young people.
  • Demonstrated expertise in palliative and complex care for children and young people.
  • Ability to conduct yourself with dignity and calm in complex, emotive situations.
  • Strong communication skills, compassionate advocacy, and commitment to exemplary palliative care.
