Job summary

Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust (RDaSH) is seeking a Band 5 Physiotherapist to join a rotational post across Mental Health, Learning Disabilities, Home First and Neuro Services. You will provide high-quality, evidence-based physiotherapy assessment and treatment, working within a multidisciplinary team to support recovery and functional improvements.

The role includes autonomous caseload management, contribution to service development, and ongoing professional learning

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and deliver evidence-based physiotherapy treatments for diverse conditions.
• Plan, implement, and adapt interventions with patients to support progress.
• Provide person-centred care and rehabilitation across settings.
• Work autonomously, prioritising own caseload.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team for coordinated rehabilitation.
• Communicate effectively with patients, carers and professionals.
• Refer to other professionals as appropriate and advocate for patients.
• Maintain dignity and privacy for patients and carers.
• Participate in weekend rota when required.

Job description

Band 5 Physiotherapists provide high-quality, evidence-based assessment and treatment to patients with a range of physical conditions, supporting their recovery and aiming to improve mobility and function. They work as part of a multidisciplinary team, delivering individualized care plans and promoting health and wellbeing. The role also involves maintaining accurate clinical records, contributing to service development, and engaging in ongoing professional learning.

SCOPE AND RANGE

Rotational post across RDaSH including Mental Health, Learning Disabilities, Home First Services and Neuro Services. Rotations will last 6 months each.

Clinical

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and deliver evidence-based physiotherapy treatments for diverse conditions.
• Plan, implement, and adapt interventions collaboratively with patients to ensure effectiveness and progress.
• Provide person-centred care and rehabilitation across various settings.
• Work autonomously, managing and prioritising own caseload efficiently.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to deliver coordinated, timely rehabilitation.
• Communicate effectively with patients, carers, and professionals, using empathy and clarification.
• Refer to other professionals/agencies as appropriate and act as a patient advocate.
• Maintain dignity, privacy, and holistic well-being for patients and carers.
• Participate in weekend rota when required.
