Responsibilities

If you are a Band 5 Physiotherapist with a passion for rehabilitation, with strong communication skills and the ability to effectively work as part of a multi-disciplinary team this may be the challenge you have been looking for.

We have an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed Physiotherapist to join our intermediate care team. We provide rehabilitation, facilitate complex discharges and support acute hospitals with the transfer and discharge of patients into Ings Grove House.

We are a friendly multi-disciplinary team comprising of Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, senior CASO, pharmacy and Kirklees Social Services, we are a 7-day service, working 8am until 7pm weekdays and 8am until 4pm at weekends, on a rota basis. We provide assessments, treatment and evaluation of patients’ needs within a short stay period.

The team also work with other agencies including equipment stores, Accessible Homes Team and Social Care. Working on initiative is essential, and there will be opportunities to support and share skills with colleagues within the team as well as across the different sectors and there may also be the need to support our sister unit in Netherton, Huddersfield.

You will require excellent communication skills to build complex relationships and network with key stakeholders to enable integration.

If you are able to use your own initiative, be flexible in your approach, and are motivated to “be part of it”, come and join us. You must be able to fulfil the travel requirements for the role.
