About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Pharmacy Technician to join a dynamic and forward-thinking hospital pharmacy team in Liverpool. This ongoing role allows you to play a vital part in supporting the safe, effective, and efficient use of medicines across inpatient and outpatient services.

As a key member of the multidisciplinary team, you’ll provide expert support in medication management, supply, and reconciliation, ensuring every patient receives the highest standard of care.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver safe, accurate, and patient-focused pharmacy services across hospital departments.

Support medicine reconciliation, supply, and dispensing of inpatient and discharge medications.

Work closely with medical and nursing teams to ensure timely and appropriate medication management.

Validate prescriptions under the Accredited Checking Technician (ACT) framework (if qualified).

Manage stock control, procurement, and distribution of medicines.

Uphold all legal and regulatory standards, including controlled drug compliance.

Contribute to training and supervision of pharmacy assistants and trainee technicians.

Support medicines optimisation projects and digital system implementation.

Participate in weekend, late, and bank holiday rotas to maintain full service coverage.
