Job summary

A leading healthcare recruitment agency is seeking a Band 5 Clinical Pharmacy Technician to work within the Pharmacy Department at an NHS Trust in Tyseley. You will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical pharmacy support, undertaking medicines reconciliation, and working collaboratively to optimise medicine use. The ideal candidate will have GPhC Registration, a CPT Qualification, and possess strong communication and organisational skills. This is a full-time, onsite role offering competitive pay rates between £16 and £20 per hour.

Qualifications

  • Registered with the GPhC as a Pharmacy Technician.
  • Qualified as a Clinical Pharmacy Technician.
  • Commitment to patient safety and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake medicines reconciliation for patients.
  • Support Ward-Based clinical pharmacy services.
  • Work with multidisciplinary team to optimise medicines use.
  • Provide accurate medicines-related information.
  • Ensure compliance with local and national guidance.
  • Contribute to service development and quality improvement.
  • Maintain accurate clinical and pharmacy documentation.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 09:00 am - 17:00 pm
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Duration: Ongoing
Employment Type: Full-Time, Onsite Only
Rate: £16 - £20/ hour (Dependant on experience)

Job Overview

As a Band 5 Clinical Pharmacy Technician you will work within the Pharmacy Department at this busy NHS Trust, supporting delivery of safe, effective, and patient-centred medicines optimisation services. You will work closely with pharmacists and the wider multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality clinical pharmacy support across inpatient areas, contributing to improved patient outcomes and the efficient use of medicines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake medicines reconciliation for patients on admission, transfer and discharge
  • Support Ward-Based clinical pharmacy services alongside pharmacists
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to optimise medicines use
  • Provide accurate medicines-related information to patients and healthcare professionals
  • Ensure compliance with local policies, national guidance, and NHS Standards
  • Contribute to service development, audit, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Maintain accurate clinical and pharmacy documentation
