We are seeking a qualified electrician to work within a small team of electricians at Watford General Hospital. Must be able to work unsupervised. May also be required to work at Saint Albans City Hospital and Hemel Hempstead Hospital from time to time.

  • Additional benefits – RRP, overtime, call out and on‑call payments. Earning potential in excess of £40,000.

We are unable to obtain a Certificate of Sponsorship (Work Permit) for this role.

The role is based at Watford General Hospital.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out planned maintenance and fault‑find electrical circuits.
  • Work on small power and lighting circuits.
  • Partake in on‑call emergency cover rota; cover out‑of‑hour duties and supervisory duties as required.
  • Complete pre‑planned maintenance (PPM) in accordance with HTM compliance.
  • Cater for generators, fire alarms, LV panels, boiler plant and nurse call systems.
Qualifications & Skills
  • City and Guilds trained and completed an electrical apprenticeship.
  • 18th edition regulations qualification would be beneficial.
  • Understanding of fire alarm systems and nurse call systems.
  • Knowledge of generators, fire alarms, LV panels, boiler plant, nurse call systems.
