Main Duties

You will primarily provide dental treatment, oral hygiene instruction, record administration, and support operational capability. Your role includes:

  • Delivering dental care and preventive education to Armed Forces personnel and eligible personnel.
  • Maintaining accurate clinical records and contributing to operational readiness.
  • Providing clinical and administrative support at other Defence Primary Healthcare sites or health fairs when requested.
Eligibility & Qualifications

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Full United Kingdom driving licence (if required for travel to military dental centres).
  • Evidence of professional indemnity cover for general dental practice.
  • Currency with GDC Continuous Professional Development requirements.
  • Confidence in using Information Technology.
  • GDC‑registered full registration for dental hygiene or current completion of a GDC‑approved Certificate/Diploma in Dental Hygiene or BSc in Dental Therapy.
Employment Details

Hours: 37.5 per week (part‑time pro‑rata where applicable). Salary range: £31,049 – £37,796 per annum (pro‑rata for part‑time).
