A dedicated health partnership in Bristol is seeking a Band 5 qualified nurse to provide care for children with learning disabilities in a short stay service. This role includes flexible shifts and offers clinical supervision. The ideal candidate will have experience in learning disabilities and be passionate about providing high-quality care. We are looking for a Band 5 qualified nurse with experience in learning disabilities. This position is a 12 month fix term contact to cover maternity cover.

Belbrook is a short break children’s home in Bristol commissioned by Bristol City Council and employs AWP staff. We provide respite care for children from 8-18 years of age with learning disabilities and complex health needs. The provision covers 24-hour care and the shifts reflect this with sleep in duties and unsocial hours, including evenings, weekends
This AWP post is a secondment across to Bristol City Council short break children’s homes. As a seconded post the successful candidate will be employed with AWP and have regular clinical supervision in line with nursing standards. Day to day management, tasks and role will be to the Bristol City Council manager. As an AWP employee alongside your monthly clinical supervision, you will be in regular contact with the link team manager who sits within the CAMH’s learning disability service for additional supervision or support. The training packages available to you will be provided by both AWP and Bristol City Council
Belbrook provides overnight care for up to three/four children, each night.
