An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced medical secretary to work in the Birmingham Dental Hospital and School of Dentistry.

As a Band 4 Senior Medial Secretary, you will provide professional medical secretarial support for the Oral Surgery department using inhouse and national systems.

Responsibilities
  • Direct line management of 2 Band 3 medical secretaries.
  • Support them with ensuring accurate and timely transcribing of all clinical correspondence and associated administrative tasks.
  • Line management of 2 Band 3 medical secretaries, including sickness absence management, annual leave and PDR/mandatory training.
  • Ensuring all clinical correspondence and other administrative tasks for Oral Surgery are completed accurately and timely.
  • Covering for band 4 colleagues in times of annual leave and absence.
  • Supporting the management team to ensure a robust medical secretarial service.
