About the Intensive Team

The Intensive Team provides assessment and home treatment to individuals and their carers as an alternative to hospital admission. Services include relapse prevention, short‑term psychosocial work, crisis support and facilitating early discharge from hospital. The team operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver a range of psychosocial interventions to service users under the guidance of registered practitioners.
  • Work autonomously, including lone working and shift patterns across the 24/7 service schedule.
  • Support people in crisis, combining communication skills and empathy to provide effective care.
  • Collaborate with the team and the trust to develop and extend your skill set.
