A leading healthcare provider in Sutton Coldfield is seeking a Band 4 Medical Secretary for Community Paediatrics. The role involves providing comprehensive secretarial support, handling sensitive correspondence, and working collaboratively within a medical team. Applicants should have previous medical secretary experience and strong knowledge of medical terminology. The position is part-time, requiring 15 hours per week, with a salary range of £27,485 to £30,162 pro rata.

To provide an efficient and comprehensive secretarial service to Consultants and supporting teams. To work collaboratively with other medical secretarial colleagues to ensure clinical correspondence is produced and distributed within acceptable and agreed timescales. The post holder will carry out their duties in such a way as to make a direct and positive contribution to the organisation of the work. It is essential that the post holder should exercise initiative commensurate with the role and that confidentiality is maintained at all times.
Based at Four Oaks Medical Centre. This is a permanent post offered on a part time basis, working 15 hours per week. The work pattern will be discussed in interview. This interesting and varied role requires the ability to work well on your own initiative whilst being committed to teamwork. This position also requires good communication skills and the ability to meet the demands of working in a busy environment.You will responsible for the provision of a comprehensive secretarial and administrative service in respect of Community Paediatric clinics for a team of Community Paediatric Doctors. Duties will include audio typing, handling telephone calls, liaising closely with Doctors and Administrative colleagues and organising correspondence around clinic appointments. The typing of confidential, complex and often sensitive clinical reports is also an integral part of the role. You will have the ability to work under pressure, prioritise your workload and to deal with confidential and sensitive issues in a professional manner.
