Overview

This is a part‑time weekend shift (Saturdays and Sundays) post within the London Breast Screening Administration Hub located at Edgware Community Hospital, part of the Royal Free Hospital London NHS Foundation Trust.

The Hub supports all six London clinical breast screening units, serving over 1.3 million eligible women (aged 50‑70) in their three‑yearly screening round.

Key administrative functions include patient data collation and reporting, appointment scheduling, and managing a call centre for cancellations and rebooks.

Role Overview

Band 4 Lead Admin Officer, working under the Assistant Service Manager and Service Manager, will supervise the Hub’s administrative activities and call centre operations, and lead senior and junior administrative staff.

Responsibilities
  • Accurate, efficient, and timely execution of essential activities supporting the breast screening pathway.
  • Lead the administration function related to the Hub and call centre in close collaboration with London breast screening services.
  • Supervise Senior Administration Officers and Administration Officers associated with the Hub and call centre.
  • Use initiative and problem‑solve in a busy environment.
  • Demonstrate the Trust values, responsibilities, and person specification.
Qualifications

Experience in a public/patient facing role, clear and concise verbal and written communication skills, and proven teamwork and leadership experience suitable for a Band 4 role.
