We are looking for a Dental Nurse to join Defence Primary Healthcare at Dental Centre Topcliffe, Thirsk. This full‑time role (37.5 hours per week) offers pro‑rated salary for part‑time hours and flexible working where possible.

Main duties

The successful candidate will provide clinical and administrative support for dental care in Defence Primary Healthcare (DPHC) dental centres, enhancing force generation and operational capability and minimizing dental morbidity on operations.

Job responsibilities
  • Assist with clinical practice, including dental hygiene and restorative procedures.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with NHS and MoD standards.
  • Support team coordination and resource management within the dental centre.
Selection process
  • Sift based on CV and evidence of required skills (max 3 pages).
  • Interview using NHS Knowledge and Skills Framework (KSF) and scenario based questions.
Qualifications and requirements
  • NEBDN Certificate or NVQ Level 3 in Oral Health Care Dental Nursing.
  • Must be registered with the General Dental Council (GDC).
  • For candidates not yet registered, full qualification must be obtained prior to start.
  • Security clearance (SC) required.
