Job description
Overview

To contribute to outcome monitoring and service evaluation of the Royal Free CAMHS service, with focus on the Neurodevelopmental pathway monthly data to the NCL group.

Responsibilities
  • To develop and manage the existing departmental activity databases
  • To contribute to and carry out audit activities
  • To contribute to the clinical services of the department as required
  • To support the clinical activity of the department through monitoring pathways and engaging families
  • To contribute to clinical discussions through the provision of feedback of standardised measures under the supervision of a senior member of the Clinical Psychology Team
  • Opportunities may occasionally arise to contribute to the clinical work of the department by undertaking grade appropriate tasks such as a school observation or assisting at existing groups. These will be under the supervision of a member of the clinical psychology team and discussed with the post holder on a case by case basis.
  • To scribe at assessment appointments and formulate a letter under supervision of the lead assessing clinician
  • Day to day management of data collection, e.g. questionnaire administration and scoring
  • Data entry
  • Supporting other members of staff to meet the data collection requirements of the team
  • Management of departmental databases under the supervision of a Clinical Psychologist including Data Analysis and routine reporting
  • To conduct literature searches under the guidance of Clinical Psychologist
  • To contribute to the development and articulation of best practice in psychology within the service area, by exercising the skills of a reflexive and reflective scientist practitioner, taking part in regular professional supervision and appraisal and maintaining an active engagement with current developments in the field of clinical/counselling psychology and related disciplines
  • To formulate a quarterly report for commissioners on service data under the supervision of clinical psychologist
