Job summary

Your World Recruitment Ltd is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapy Assistant to join the Therapies Team in an acute hospital in Belfast. The position offers an hourly pay rate of £14 - £15 and expects candidates committed to a minimum of three months.

Applicants should ideally possess experience in the NHS or similar acute settings, with an Occupational Therapy degree being beneficial. The role allows for potential progression to a higher band based on performance.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a Therapy Assistant in the NHS or overseas as an Occupational Therapist.
• Full HCPC registration for Occupational Therapists.
• Availability to start within 2 weeks and commit for at least 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Join the Therapies Team at an acute hospital in Belfast.
• Provide assistance as part of the occupational therapy program.
• Work towards progression to a higher band role.

Job description

One of our clients, an acute hospital in Belfast, is looking for an Occupational Therapy Assistant to join their lovely Therapies Team.

They are open to speaking to candidates on 3 band level with a view to offering a long-term contract with an hourly pay rate of £14 - £15 P/H.

Essential criteria

• Prior Therapy Assistant Experience in the NHS; however candidates with overseas experience as an Occupational Therapist in acute hospital will be considered.
• Holding an Occupational Therapy degree (MSc or BSc) and full HCPC registration will be beneficial, and this role may potentially allow progression to a Band 5 courtesy of the hiring manager further down the line.
• Be available to commence the role within a maximum of 2 weeks from confirmation and happy to commit to a minimum period of three months.
