A leading healthcare provider in Birmingham is seeking a Support Medical Secretary for the busy Ear, Nose and Throat Department. The successful candidate will provide secretarial support, manage appointments, process clinical letters, and liaise with the Senior Medical Team. Candidates should possess strong communication and organizational skills, a good education background, and experience in an administrative role. An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as a Support Medical Secretary in the fast paced and busy Ear, Nose and Throat Department at the QE. We are looking for a flexible, highly motivated and well organised individual to join us. Our friendly and approachable team provide a professional secretarial service to our acclaimed team of Ear, Nose and Throat Surgeons. The successful candidate will be efficient, productive and be able to prioritise tasks. They will be proactive in solving problems and queries and you will see these through to completion. The post holder will need to be calm and patient with an excellent telephone manner, drawing upon communication and interpersonal skills in order to deal with sometimes complex and difficult issues over the phone. The post holder will be flexible in their approach and will work creatively to provide support in the most effective way.
Liaising with Team Leader daily and providing full secretarial support to our band 4 Senior Medical Secretarial Team. Processing of clinical letters, booking clinic appointments, checking follow up appointments and clinic outcomes. Adding patients to waiting list. Processing of clinical letters in relation to 2 Week Wait Clinics, Daily Emergency ENT Clinics, Nurse Led Clinics and Endoscope I Clinics.
