Job Overview

Act as a support worker within the multi-disciplinary team, under the direction of qualified practitioners. Provide a safe and comfortable environment for patients and staff. Liaise appropriately with all key members of the multi-disciplinary team and service users related to the Emergency Department (ED), including escalation of concerns related to patient safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient personal care including incontinence care, dressing, washing and oral care
  • Nutritional support including assistance with patients' meals
  • Performing initial investigations such as venepuncture, cannulation and point of care testing
  • Escorting patients to different departments for treatments/investigations within the hospital
  • Transferring patients within the department, including patient handover
  • Daily cleaning and stocking
