Join our growing Admin and Clerical Team!

Our service is growing, and we are excited to announce upcoming opportunities to join our Radiology Clerical team at St Albans City Hospital.

This role is perfect for those with strong communication skills who thrive in a close-knit team environment while also collaborating with a wide range of professionals across the hospital.

As part of this team, you'll provide vital administrative and clerical support for ultrasound and other imaging services.

Main duties of the job
  • Welcoming patients and service users to the department.
  • Booking patients in for their examinations and directing to the relevant sub waiting areas.
  • Arranging Ultrasound and other appointments in line with clinical pathway targets.
  • Answering telephone queries and other general clerical duties.

Person Specification
Education and qualifications:
  • NVQ3 Customer Care or equivalent experience in a customer facing environment or a willingness to work towards an NVQ3.
Knowledge:
  • Competent in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Understanding of information governance issues and how to manage confidential patient information and Data Protection Act.
  • Knowledge of Patient Administration Systems, e.g. CRIS, Clinicom, EPR & CERNER.
  • Understanding the Trust's policy on equality/diversity and Health & Safety policies.
Experience:
  • Experience of working in a customer orientated environment.
  • Experience of working in an administrative role and office protocols and procedures.
  • Experience of handling confidential information.
