A leading healthcare institution in Greater London is looking for an Administrative Assistant to join their Cancer Performance Team. The role includes tasks such as booking oncology referrals and maintaining records while providing exceptional customer service. Training will be provided, and this fixed-term role may lead to a permanent position upon completing the apprenticeship programme. Candidates should have experience in office duties and excellent organizational skills.
This role is based in the Cancer Performance Team and will provide full training on managing 2‑week wait referrals, tracking patients through their tests and appointments, and supporting the team in determining whether patients have cancer. The position is an administrative role in a busy service and is ideal for individuals who enjoy a busy schedule and delivering a high level of customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
Apprenticeships offer an opportunity to gain a nationally recognised qualification while on the job. You will undertake a 22‑month development programme in Business Administration within the Community Therapies Services, through work‑based learning and regular training sessions. Successfully completing the programme will lead to an Advanced Apprenticeship Level 3 qualification.
This is a fixed‑term contract with the possibility of becoming permanent after successful completion of the qualification. Applicants who already hold a relevant qualification in Business Administration or Business Management at this level or higher are not eligible to apply.
