Assistant Technical Officer in the Community

Band 3 • Cardio Respiratory • Permanent, part time 22.5 hours per week (TBA)

Salary: £24,937 - £26,598 per annum (Yearly)

Key responsibilities
  • Undertakes a range of clinical physiology investigations, including recording ECGs and fitting/removal of ambulatory monitoring devices
  • Assist in stock control of consumable items used in clinical physiology
  • Responsible for the safe use of departmental equipment
  • Recognise and confirm accuracy of reported equipment faults and ensure details are documented and appropriate steps are taken for their correction
  • Ensure clean and tidy procedure environments are maintained
  • Assist with maintenance of local risk management policies
Working arrangements

Part-time position 22.5 hours. Working days are open to discussion. The post holder may be required to participate in a flexible working hours system.

Requirements
  • Essential: GCSEs in Maths, English and Science at grade C or above or equivalent
  • Essential: Good communication and organisational skills
  • Essential: Ability to work to deadlines and under pressure in an emotive environment
  • Desirable: Competency in Electrocardiography procedures and Spirometry
  • Desirable: Previous experience as an ATO and in a healthcare setting
  • Other: Ability to work as part of a team and commitment to completing tasks to a high standard
