Job Title: Bakery Supervisor

Location: South West, UK

Reports to: Factory Manager

Salary: £25,000-£30,000 (depending on experience)

About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and hands‑on Bakery Supervisor to support the Factory Manager in overseeing day‑to‑day production within our bakery/factory. This role carries significant ownership over ingredients preparation, mixing, baking, production flow, packaging and courier dispatch. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of operations, consistent product quality, and efficient workflow across the production team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Production Leadership – Support the Factory Manager in managing daily production operations, take ownership of ingredient preparation, batch set‑up, mixing and baking processes, maintain production schedules and ensure targets are met, help coordinate team workflow and ensure operations run smoothly.
  • Hands‑On Production – Carry out mixing, baking, ingredient prep and production tasks, ensure all recipes, measurements and processes are followed accurately, assist in monitoring product quality and consistency.
  • Packaging & Dispatch Management – Oversee packaging operations to maintain efficiency and product presentation standards, prepare and manage courier orders and dispatch schedules, maintain packaging inventory and highlight stock requirements.
  • Quality, Hygiene & Compliance – Uphold all food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP, Food Safety Level 2/3), ensure work areas are clean, organised and audit‑ready, contribute to continuous improvement across production processes.
Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • Experience in food production, bakery, or similar manufacturing environment.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in a supervisory or senior production role.
  • Familiarity with bakery machinery and production equipment.

Working Hours
