Job summary

Bayne’s the Family Bakers in Cairdshop is hiring a Retail Sales Assistant. You’ll work varied shifts, including weekends, 4 days from 7, with 16 hours per week and potential extra hours. Up to £12.93 per hour plus benefits.

You’ll prepare and serve bakery items, maintain displays, handle pre-orders, process payments, and assist customers with product guidance. Flexible availability is required. Ideal candidates have food retail experience, strong communication skills, and a positive, resilient

Qualifications

• Previous food retailing experience / Food to Go.
• Great communication skills.
• A positive attitude, resilient and flexible with hours.
• Cash handling experience / tills (training provided).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve customers with bakery and food-to-go products.
• Set up and maintain counter and window displays.
• Process pre-orders and payments (cash and card).
• Stock shelves and answer customer queries.
• Provide product advice and guidance.
• Report discrepancies to management.
• Clean shop and facilities.
