Job summary

Breedon Group plc is seeking an operative to join the Bagging operation at Severn Sands in Newport. You will operate the site Forklifts and support the bagging process while maintaining housekeeping and basic maintenance tasks.

You will work as part of a team, follow safety procedures, and be prepared to cover overtime or out-of-hours work for maintenance tasks. Training will be provided for pre-start inspections and equipment checks.

Qualifications

• Forklift licence is essential.
• Experience working in a bagging/packing environment is advantageous.
• Ability to operate site machinery safely and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operate one of the site Forklifts with the required licences.
• Assist the bagging team on lines and maintain housekeeping.
• Support the Bagging Supervisor and report issues to management.
• Operate site machinery including Loading shovels, Forklifts, MEWP’s & Mini Diggers (where licensed).
• Carry out safety inspections and pre-start/PPIs of machinery; training provided.
