Job summary

DX Network Services is seeking a Warehouse Operative (Backshift/Afternoons) to unload/load freight from vehicles safely and efficiently, and to support delivery operations. The role requires a Reach Truck licence and a professional approach to handling DX freight across UK sites.

The successful candidate will follow DX safety policies, use PPE correctly, and maintain accurate paperwork and scanner data while upholding customer service standards to protect company assets and brand reputation.

Qualifications

• Valid Reach Truck licence required.
• Follow all DX manual handling and safety policies and PPE usage.
• Observe and adhere to all DX procedures and policies.

Responsibilities

• Un/load freight from vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Support the delivery operation to ensure correct freight for routes.
• Represent DX professionally at all times.
• Follow all DX safety policies and PPE requirements.
• Observe and adhere to DX procedures and policies at all times.
• Handle freight with care and attention.
• Access and egress vehicles using the correct means.
• Use correct equipment and methods for handling freight.
• Ensure all deliveries are loaded safely prior to leaving site.
• Report damages immediately to line manager.
• Match freight with paperwork/scanner information.
• Ensure freight is stored and transported safely and securely.

Job description

This is a Backshift / Afternoons vacancy. Reach Truck Licence Required, DX Warehouse Operatives are responsible to ensure the safe and efficient unloading and loading of freight from vehicles into, and from the site. They will also support the delivery operation to ensure the correct freight is loaded to complete the delivery routes., Represent DX in a professional manner at all times

• Follow all aspects of DX Manual Handling and safe working policies, including the correct use of all PPE
• Observe and adhere to all DX procedures and policies at all times
• Handle all freight with care and attention
• Access and egress vehicles using the correct means
• Use the correct equipment and methods for handling and moving all freight
• Ensure all deliveries are loaded safely prior to leaving the site
• Report all damages immediately to your line manager
• Ensure all freight being loaded or unloaded matches relevant paperwork / scanner information
• Ensure that customers freight is transported, stored safely and treated with respect
• Ensure the security of freight and company assets by reporting any suspicious activity to your line manager or the security team
• Ensure the warehouse is kept tidy and H&S issues are reported immediately
