Job summary

Client Server is seeking a Backend Software Engineer / Developer (Python Data R&D) in Cambridge, onsite, offering up to £55k. You will join a vibrant team working on Greenfield medical technology projects and teleoperate with scientists to build terahertz sensing and imaging solutions.

You will develop in Python, engage with ML, image processing, databases and hardware interfaces, and collaborate in an R&D environment with mentoring and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

• Strong backend Python experience with PyTorch and NumPy.
• Experience with asynchronous, parallel or distributed systems.
• Knowledge of relational databases such as SQL Server or Oracle.
• Good understanding of TDD, CI/CD and modern software practices.
• Experience with embedded software and/or IoT.
• Interest in ML/AI and R&D environment.
• STEM degree holder.
• Collaborative, pair programming and mentoring skills.

Responsibilities

• Work on Greenfield projects in medical technology.
• Collaborate with scientists and engineers to develop terahertz sensing and imaging solutions.
• Contribute to image processing, ML, numerical simulation, databases, and hardware interfaces.
