Job summary

Nexus Additive Ltd. in London is seeking a Backend Engineer to design and build high-throughput C++ systems that ingest and process multi-modal sensor data from metal 3D printers.

You will ensure performance and reliability in industrial environments, delivering scalable software for our Nexus platform. You will implement real-time data streaming with WebSockets, develop Python bindings, and maintain robust cross-platform builds for Windows and Linux.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of production C++ (C++17+) experience.
• Strong systems fundamentals: concurrency, memory management, performance profiling.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop core C++ libraries for high-throughput data ingestion, processing, and storage.
• Build and maintain Python bindings and APIs for ML and applications teams.
• Real-time data streaming via WebSockets.
