Job summary

A rapidly growing financial services organization seeks a talented Backend Software Engineer to join their team in Manchester. You will design and maintain modern cloud-based systems, work on backend development with TypeScript and NestJS, and collaborate with global teams. The ideal candidate has strong cloud computing skills, experience with AWS, and a passion for security principles. This role offers a hybrid working model based in the Manchester office, allowing you to work 3 days a week onsite.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in cloud computing and services (AWS experience preferred).
• Proficiency in TypeScript and REST API development; experience with NestJS preferred.
• Deep understanding of cloud security principles, including IAM, networking, and encryption.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and enhance backend services using TypeScript and NestJS.
• Build scalable APIs and microservices-based architectures to support business-critical applications.
• Implement secure authentication mechanisms, including MFA and Passkeys.
