Job summary

VOY, a healthtech scale-up, is building a unified platform serving millions and expanding in the UK. We are seeking a backend engineer to develop scalable systems, APIs, and integrations using Node.js/TypeScript in a hybrid London-based role.

You will own features end-to-end, work with cloud architectures, CI/CD, and data tools, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, high-performance software for customers and internal users.

Qualifications

• Experience building web backends in Node.js/TypeScript or willingness to learn on the job.
• Familiarity with scalable cloud architectures, design patterns, and best practices.
• Practical experience with CI/CD and IaC.
• Experience with relational databases, search engines, and data management practices.
• Experience with TDD and unit, integration, and performance testing.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex ideas simply to non-engineering teammates.
• Nice to have: CS degree or equivalent, experience building scalable and highly reliable cloud systems, familiarity with modern JS frameworks, cross-functional teamwork.
