Administrative Support Specialist - Metering Services

Location: Hybrid (Agile home-working available after training)

Contract: Full-time, Initial 18-Month Contract

Salary: £25,654 - £27,557 per annum

VANRATH is pleased to be partnering with a highly reputable and forward-thinking organisation to recruit an experienced Administrative Support Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and expanding business, providing vital support to their metering services team.

About the Role

You’ll become an integral part of the administration team, supporting a variety of metering-related activities, including installations, maintenance, customer service, and project work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver administrative support across Metering and Support teams
  • Process customer and electricity supplier requests (e.g. appointments, tariff adjustments, meter relocations)
  • Maintain and update internal databases and spreadsheets
  • Communicate effectively with internal departments and external stakeholders
  • Handle incoming calls and customer enquiries
  • Assist with the coordination of both minor and large-scale projects
Essential Criteria
  • 4 GCSEs (Grade C or above), including English and Maths, or at least 2 years of relevant administrative experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general IT systems
  • High level of attention to detail with strong numerical skills
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
Desirable Experience
  • Previous experience in a busy office or administrative environment
  • Background in customer service or other customer-facing roles
