Job summary

UCM Education in Greenwich is recruiting a Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join our welcoming Early Years setting. The role is focused on babies, primarily in the Baby Room, with occasional support for Rising 2s.

It offers a four-day working week and 35 hours per week to promote a balanced pattern. You will provide high‑quality care and education in line with the EYFS, support development and wellbeing through nurturing experiences, build strong relationships with children and families, and

Qualifications

• Level 3 Childcare or Early Years qualification is required.
• Experience in a nursery or Early Years setting is preferred.
• Experience with babies and under-two children is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care and education for babies and younger children in line with the EYFS.
• Support children's early learning, development and emotional wellbeing through nurturing, age-appropriate experiences.
• Create a safe, stimulating and welcoming environment for babies.
• Plan and deliver sensory, play-based activities to encourage exploration.
• Support children's routines including feeding, sleeping and personal care.
• Encourage early communication, physical development and social interaction.
• Act as a key person and build strong relationships with children and families.
• Complete observations and assessments to monitor progress and inform planning.
• Provide occasional support for Rising 2s when required.
• Maintain high safeguarding, hygiene, health and safety standards and professional practice.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure high standards of care.
