Join Our Client as a Speech & Language Therapy Lead Band 7

We’re seeking a dynamic and passionate Speech & Language Therapy Lead (Band 7) to take on an exciting leadership role within a specialist neurorehabilitation service.

This is your opportunity to lead a talented team, influence high-quality care, and make a lasting difference in the lives of individuals recovering from stroke, brain injury, and complex neurological conditions.

Location: Leatherhead, Surrey
Salary: £46,148 - £52,809 (depending on experience)
Hours: 37.5 per week (part-time hours considered)

The Opportunity

Step into a pivotal leadership role at a state-of-the-art 48-bed rehabilitation centre, working alongside a large, experienced multidisciplinary team.

As the Speech & Language Therapy Lead, you’ll oversee the delivery of evidence-based, person-centred therapy, managing a diverse caseload of clients with neurological disabilities and communication challenges.

You’ll play a key role in:

  • Leading, developing, and coordinating speech and language therapy services.
  • Assessing and treating a wide range of speech, language, swallowing, and cognitive communication disorders.
  • Providing expert training and guidance to colleagues, families, and carers.
  • Collaborating closely with occupational therapists, physiotherapists, psychologists, and nursing teams.
  • Representing the SLT service at senior leadership meetings and contributing to clinical governance.

You’ll also benefit from regular supervision, reflective practice, and extensive CPD opportunities to support your growth.

About You
  • Degree or diploma in Speech & Language Therapy with HCPC registration.
  • Member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT).
  • Postgraduate experience in neurorehabilitation, physical, or learning disabilities.
  • Skilled in dysphagia management, communication, and voice therapy.
  • Evidence of CPD and a current professional portfolio.
  • A confident leader who is collaborative, organised, and motivated by improving patient outcomes.
