The ideal candidate will have a BSc in Chemistry and at least 2 years of experience in a pharmaceutical or food industry quality control laboratory. This is a full-time position with a pay rate of £15.33 per hour.

Job Overview

We are seeking a Senior QA Analyst to join the Belfast Health and Social Care team. The post holder is an analyst within the Regional Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance Service (RPQAS) which provides a range of pharmaceutical quality assurance services to Victoria Pharmaceuticals (VP) and pharmacy services within BHSCT and the wider HSC Trusts. The post holder will perform microbiological and analytical testing that includes chemical analyses, sterility testing, and environmental and product monitoring in accordance with the principles of cGMP and GCLP with knowledge of GMP and Good Laboratory Practice (GLP). The post holder will co-ordinate and manage COSHH related matters for RPQAS and VP including COSHH risk assessments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Knowledge and practical experience of pharmaceutical analytical techniques (HPLC-UV, FTIR, UV spectroscopy, flame photometry and subvisible particle testing)
  • GxP experience and knowledge of data integrity
  • Experience in troubleshooting analytical issues (e.g., out-of-specification investigations)
  • Practical microbiology experience
  • Line management experience
