This is a shift based role 07:00 - 19:00 with £5,460 shift pay

Are you a skilled and motivated B1 Engineer with a passion for excellence in aircraft maintenance? We’re looking for a dedicated professional to join our Base Maintenance team, ensuring the highest standards of airworthiness and operational performance.

As a B1 Engineer, you will be responsible for performing and certifying aircraft maintenance tasks in line with company quality procedures and regulatory requirements. Working closely with the Shift Manager, you’ll help ensure that all maintenance activities meet customer contractual obligations and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Certify servicing and maintenance tasks within your scope of authorisation.
• Supervise technical staff to ensure safe and compliant work practices.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation for aircraft under your control.
• Manage tools, materials, and maintain a clean, safe working environment.
• Promote a culture of openness, safety, and continuous improvement.
• Liaise with Technical Services and Planning Engineers on technical issues and schedules.
• Support Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance across the team.
• Report safety or disciplinary concerns to the Line Manager.
• Deputise for Senior Engineers during periods of absence.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

• CAA B1 Licence with A330 Type Rating and current Company Authorisation.
• Proven experience certifying maintenance in a Base Maintenance environment.
• Strong understanding of zonal working structures and team coordination.
• Proficiency with industry-standard technical data and man-hour tracking systems.
• Demonstrated ownership of objectives and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Experience with structural repairs and modifications.
• Effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Leadership skills with a focus on mentoring and staff development.
• Experience with short-notice AOG recoveries from deployed locations is a plus.
