Job summary

A recruitment consultancy specialized in Aviation is seeking B1 Aircraft Engineers for an immediate start near Darlington, England. The role requires a current CAA b1.1 license and a Boeing 737 Type Rating. This is a contract position lasting 5-6 months at an hourly rate of £50 with a flexible schedule. The responsibilities include performing maintenance in compliance with safety standards and assisting in the overall functioning of the operations.

Qualifications

  • Boeing 737 Type Rating is essential.
  • A320 Type Rating is highly desirable.
  • Must demonstrate recent relevant experience.
  • Valid EWIS, Human Factors, and Fuel Tank Safety certificates are required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance on time and in compliance with regulations.
  • Release all maintenance to service safely and compliantly.
  • Conduct non-maintenance tasks crucial to overall functioning.

Job description

Due to an increase in business, our client, a single source service provider to the Aviation industry providing solutions which include aircraft maintenance, storage, disassembly, ground / cargo handling, parts sourcing, and FBO services, is recruiting for B1 Aircraft Engineers to be based at a site near Darlington, County Durham.

  • IMMEDIATE STARTS!!!!
  • Contract work for a period of 5 – 6 months with priority to return next season.
  • Hourly rate of £50. Flexibility for the right engineers.
  • Approx 200 hours per month.
  • Working onsite on a 5 on, 5 off, 4 on, 4 off shift pattern (7am-7pm)
Main Purpose of the Role;

Reporting to Hangar Crew Chief, B1 Licensed Aircraft Engineers will be responsible for performing maintenance on time and by the applicable requirements, regulations, and approved standards so that all maintenance is released to service in a safe and compliant manner. The Licensed Aircraft Engineer role also includes tasks not directly related to maintenance, but crucial to the overall functioning of the organization.

  • Current CAA b1.1 license
  • Boeing 737 Type Rating (ESSENTIAL)
  • A320 Type Rating (HIGHLY DESIRABLE)
  • Demonstrable recency
  • Valid EWIS, Human Factors (HF), and Fuel Tank Safety (FTS) certificates
