Overview

The world’s largest helicopter manufacturer and the UK’s leading civil helicopter hub at Oxford Airport is looking for a talented B1.3 Licensed Engineer to join their dynamic team!

Description / Overall purpose of the Job

As a B1 Licensed Engineer, you’ll be responsible for the certification of maintenance and repairs on a variety of craft, including the popular H125, H135, H145 and the new H160.

Responsibilities
  • Accomplishment of Maintenance inspections and repairs as directed by Maintenance Supervisors.
  • Part 66 License in B1.3 (Turbine Rotorcraft) required for the certifying role.
  • Work as a team leader, maintaining high standards to ensure continued safe operation of the aircraft.
  • Work with UK CAA regulations, especially Parts 145, 145, Part M and UK ANO requirements.
  • Complete maintenance tasks, including airframe structure, power plant and mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Replace avionics line replaceable units, performing simple tests to prove their serviceability.
  • Supervise maintenance fitters and certify their work.
  • Engage with the customer and positively represent the company.
Knowledge and Skills
  • Thorough knowledge of engine and airframe systems and specialised test equipment.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
  • Flexibility to the requirements of the company and the needs of the customer.
Education, Qualifications or Training
  • Essential: Part 66 B1.3 Licence (UKCAA).
  • Currency on type: EC135 / BK117 C-2 / BK117 D-2 / BK117 D-3 type rated.
  • Type training on specific types will be given to a suitable candidate.
Additional Requirements
  • DBS Security Clearance and eligibility for SC clearance.
  • Compliance with ITAR and Export Compliance Regulations.
  • Travel within the UK or abroad to support related business requirements.
