Arden White Aerospace & Aviation Recruitment are currently partnering with a leading and reputable aviation organisation to recruit an experienced B1 Licensed Engineer on a permanent or contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity to join a high‑performing Part‑145 maintenance operation at Gamston (Retford) Airport, supporting a diverse fleet and working within a strong engineering culture focused on safety, quality, and efficiency.

Position: B1 Licensed Engineer

Location: Gamston (Retford) Airport

Working Hours: #removed#, shift pattern 4on/4off/6on/4off/4on/6off

Reporting To: Shift Supervisor

Employment Basis: Permanent or Contract

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Shift Supervisor in maintaining safety, regulatory compliance, and operational performance across all Part‑145 maintenance activities.
• Carry out and certify B1 mechanical maintenance tasks during shift operations.
• Where required and authorised, perform C‑certification for aircraft released from base maintenance.
• Ensure high standards of mechanical engineering and accurate completion of all maintenance documentation.
• Assist Planning to ensure required tooling, parts, and resources are available.
• Provide mechanical handovers and support ground movements of assigned aircraft.
• Promote and uphold a Just Culture, encouraging accurate reporting of safety events.
• Supervise technical staff to ensure work is carried out correctly, safely, and in accordance with manuals and procedures.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the team and maintenance operation.
• Participate in an AOG support rota covering both UK and overseas requirements.
• Work within B/C‑rated workshops at component level (Wheel and Engine Bay).
• Act as Deputy Shift Supervisor when required in line with contractual arrangements.

• EASA Part‑66 B1 Licence.
• Additional type ratings applicable to the operator's fleet.
