Azure Transformation Lead (Interim) – Governance & Security

Job summary

Set2recruit LTD is seeking an interim IT leader to drive Azure migration, governance, and Cyber Essentials for an established UK technology manufacturer. The role is a 3-month contract with immediate start, inside IR35, and involves hands-on leadership alongside the Group IT Manager.

You will shape a cloud-first governance framework, deliver an Azure migration roadmap and security plan, mentor a small IT team, and report to senior leadership, targeting completion of on-premises decommissioning

Qualifications

• Senior IT professional with proven track record leading transformation programmes at both strategic and technical levels.
• Experience decommissioning legacy on-premises infrastructure as part of a wider cloud migration
• Demonstrable experience engaging and influencing senior stakeholders and business leaders
• Experience supporting SAP Business One or a comparable ERP system in an IT management capacity
• Exposure to ISO 27001 frameworks

Responsibilities

• Setting priorities for the IT improvement programme and coordinating delivery with the Group IT Manager.
• Leading planning and delivery of the remaining on-premises to Azure migration, including a credible roadmap to full decommissioning.
• Reviewing, designing and implementing IT policies, procedures and governance frameworks for a cloud-first environment.
• Driving the security and compliance roadmap, achieving Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus and laying foundations for ISO 27001 alignment.
• Identifying gaps and inefficiencies across the IT estate and delivering practical, prioritised improvements.
• Mentoring the Group IT Manager and internal team, providing structure and extra leadership capacity
• Assessing IT staffing levels, structure and capability, and making recommendations for the future needs of the business
