Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking a Solution Architect (Azure) for a 12-month contract based in Reading, with 2 days on-site per week. The role requires active SC or DV clearance and involves assurance of designs across Azure, M365, VMware and defence networks.

You will review architectures, challenge decisions, and ensure solutions meet security, performance and resilience requirements. This position is outside IR35 with a daily rate of £600–£675.

Qualifications

• SC/DV clearance required or active clearance in process.
• Strong Azure background with defence sector awareness.
• Experience reviewing and assuring technical designs in complex environments.

Responsibilities

• Review and assure technical and solution designs.
• Challenge architecture decisions and provide recommendations.
• Assess whether proposed solutions are fit for purpose for defined use cases.
• Consider performance, resilience and latency requirements.
• Provide architectural guidance across complex technology environments.
• Work across Azure, Microsoft 365, VMware and defence networks.
