Job summary

Hitachi Solutions Europe is seeking an Azure Infrastructure and Platform Engineer to provide L2/L3 support for Azure-hosted solutions. The role focuses on operating and supporting Azure infrastructure, networking, platform services, and security controls, while collaborating with development teams to resolve platform issues.

UK Government SC clearance is desirable. You will own incidents, manage CI/CD pipelines, and contribute to governance and automation efforts across enterprise landing zones,

Qualifications

• Experience running and supporting cloud-native Azure environments.
• Deep knowledge of Azure Networking & Connectivity, hub-spoke design, and hybrid connectivity.
• Experience in Identity & Access Management (RBAC, PIM, Conditional Access, Managed Identities).
• Experience with Azure governance and security tools including Azure Policy and Key Vault.
• Strong knowledge of Azure PaaS services and SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Experience with Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics, and alerting.
• Experience with Azure Landing Zone environments, governance, connectivity and security controls.
• Exposure to AKS or container workloads is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Own incidents across Azure platforms and infrastructure, meeting SLAs.
• Operate and troubleshoot Azure platform services (App Services, Functions, Logic Apps, Storage, DBs, Service Bus).
• Monitor platform health and implement proactive alerts and dashboards.
• Diagnose issues and perform root-cause analysis across layers.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code deployments.
• Support security governance, RBAC, and cloud security controls.
• Collaborate with development teams to resolve platform and application concerns.
• Identify opportunities to improve reliability, performance, and automation.
• Participate in paid on-call and out-of-hours support rota.
