Job summary

Qualifications

• Strong background in C#/.NET and Microsoft Azure.
• Experience owning Solution, Application or Technical Architecture.
• Strong understanding of data/database architecture.
• Experience with REST APIs, microservices and event-driven architecture.
• Experience modernising legacy applications or platforms.
• Ability to produce and communicate architecture documentation and technical decisions.
• Comfortable remaining close to engineering teams and the technical detail.

Responsibilities

• Owning end-to-end solution architecture for strategic initiatives.
• Designing scalable, secure and maintainable solutions on Microsoft Azure.
• Working closely with engineering teams across a C#/.NET application estate.
• Supporting the modernisation of legacy applications and data platforms.
• Designing REST APIs, microservices and event-driven architectures.
• Leading technical discovery, solution design and feasibility assessments.
• Producing architecture artefacts including C4 diagrams and ADRs.
• Defining NFRs across security, scalability, resilience and observability.
• Leading PoCs and evaluating new technologies.
• Influencing technical direction and coaching engineers.
