Laing O'Rourke is seeking an Infrastructure Operations Specialist to manage and optimize cloud services, primarily Azure and Microsoft 365, in a major engineering and construction business. You will resolve complex incidents, automate tasks, and drive improvements across security, monitoring, and governance.

Formación

• Five years in IT with at least three in operational, customer-facing support.
• Hands-on Azure administration in a live environment.
• Experience administering and supporting Microsoft 365.
• Strong knowledge of Azure infrastructure, networking, monitoring, security, backup and resilience.
• Experience with Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID, including IAM, RBAC, and SSO.
• Experience resolving complex 2nd/3rd line incidents and conducting root-cause analysis.
• Scripting or automation using PowerShell or Azure CLI.
• Familiarity with ITIL-aligned service-management and change-control processes.
• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Responsabilidades

• Operate, monitor and continually improve Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 services.
• Provide second- and third-line support, investigating incidents and performing root cause analysis.
• Administer Azure infrastructure including VMs, storage, networking, load balancing and private endpoints.
• Support Azure networking across VNets, subnets, DNS, NSGs and hybrid environments.
• Manage identity and access services using Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID (RBAC, SSO).
• Monitor availability, performance and capacity with Azure Monitor and Log Analytics.
• Maintain cloud security controls with Defender for Cloud and Azure Policy.
• Support backup, recovery, resilience and disaster-recovery testing.
• Monitor Azure consumption and cost, propose configuration/licensing improvements.
• Automate repeatable activities using PowerShell, Azure CLI and IaC (Bicep/ARM).
• Support Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive and Intune.
• Contribute to governance, data retention and DLP controls.
• Plan, test and deliver changes with minimal customer impact.
• Maintain runbooks and knowledge articles.
