Job summary

Arthur Recruitment is seeking an Azure Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and support secure, scalable Azure cloud infrastructure underpinning its global technology strategy.

The role focuses on Azure networking, automation with Terraform and Azure DevOps pipelines, and delivering enterprise-scale cloud solutions across IaaS, PaaS, and hybrid environments. London-based with three days per week in the office.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale Azure infrastructure.
  • Strong expertise in Azure networking (VNets, routing, firewalls, load balancers).
  • Experience with IaC (Terraform) and Azure DevOps pipelines.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain secure, resilient Azure cloud infrastructure.
  • Automate deployments using Terraform, Azure DevOps, and Git CI/CD pipelines.
  • Troubleshoot networking/connectivity across Azure IaaS, PaaS, and hybrid environments.
  • Implement Azure security, governance, and compliance best practices.
  • Monitor and optimise cloud platforms for high availability and performance.
  • Produce technical designs and documentation with architects and security teams.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a global reinsurance organisation as an Azure Infrastructure Engineer. As the business continues to expand, you'll play a key role in designing, building, and supporting secure, scalable Azure cloud infrastructure that underpins its global technology strategy.

This role is ideal for someone with strong Azure networking expertise, a passion for infrastructure automation, and experience delivering enterprise-scale cloud solutions.

Key Responsibilities of the Azure Infrastructure Engineer:
  • Design, build, and maintain secure, resilient Azure cloud infrastructure.
  • Configure and manage Azure networking services, including VNets, routing, firewalls, load balancers, private endpoints, and API Gateways.
  • Automate infrastructure deployments using Terraform, Azure DevOps, and Git-based CI/CD pipelines.
  • Troubleshoot complex networking and connectivity issues across Azure IaaS, PaaS, and hybrid environments.
  • Implement Azure security, governance, and compliance best practices.
  • Monitor, optimise, and support cloud platforms to ensure high availability, reliability, and performance.
  • Work closely with architects, developers, and security teams, producing technical documentation and low-level designs.
Essential Skills & Experience of the Azure Infrastructure Engineer:
  • Proven experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale Azure infrastructure.
  • Strong expertise in Azure networking, including VNets, routing, firewalls, private endpoints, and load balancing.
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code, ideally Terraform, and Azure DevOps pipelines.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across Azure networking and cloud connectivity.
  • Experience implementing and managing API Gateways.
  • Solid understanding of Azure security, governance, and compliance.
  • Scripting experience using PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
