Fully remote, UK | Permanent | Up to £80,000
Tenth Revolution Group is partnering with an established Microsoft Partner to find an Azure DevOps & Platform Engineer to take technical ownership of complex Azure environments and help shape how they’re delivered, secured and supported.
This is a hands-on role for someone who can bridge project delivery and operations: building reliable Azure platforms, improving deployment and automation practices, and making sure services are documented and ready for support after go-live. You’ll also help develop the wider engineering team through mentoring and knowledge sharing.
The environment
You’ll work across a substantial Azure and hybrid estate, including:
- Azure Arc and SQL: around 1,393 Arc-enabled SQL Server databases across 270 SQL instances, plus 349 Arc-enabled machines. This is an important part of the role, alongside Defender for Cloud and Azure Arc management.
- Azure SQL: SQL Managed Instance, Azure SQL databases and an Elastic Pool, with production workloads and backup, maintenance and resilience requirements.
- DevOps and infrastructure: Azure DevOps pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, with Bicep preferred, scripting and release management.
- Integration and applications: more than 120 Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Service Bus, API Management, App Services and Container Apps.
- Platform operations: Azure Automation, Key Vault, managed identities, monitoring, alerting, Log Analytics and Application Insights.
- Wider Azure services: virtual machines, networking, private endpoints, Application Gateway, backup and security tooling, as well as Databricks, Synapse and emerging Azure AI workloads.
What you’ll be doing
- Lead technical delivery of Azure platform, DevOps and integration projects.
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines, reusable deployment patterns and Infrastructure as Code.
- Develop automation, scripts and runbooks that reduce manual effort and improve consistency.
- Provide technical leadership across Azure Integration Services, including Logic Apps, Functions, Service Bus and API Management.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues, support incident resolution and contribute to root cause analysis.
- Assess Azure environments and identify risks, unsupported services and operational readiness gaps.
- Improve monitoring, alerting, security, identity and governance across customer environments.
- Create deployment standards, technical documentation and support runbooks.
- Mentor engineers and help build capability across Azure DevOps, integration services and platform support.
What we’re looking for
- Strong experience engineering and supporting Azure platforms, ideally in a DevOps or cloud engineering role.
- Practical experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD, source control and release management.
- Infrastructure as Code experience; Bicep is preferred.
- Strong automation and scripting skills.
- Experience with Azure Integration Services, such as Logic Apps, Functions, Service Bus or API Management.
- Confidence supporting complex environments across monitoring, security, identity and governance.
- A methodical approach to troubleshooting, documentation and operational handover.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to mentor engineers and work with customers.
- Experience in an MSP, Microsoft Partner or multi-customer environment would be beneficial.
- Familiarity with Azure Arc and SQL Managed Instance would be highly valuable, particularly Azure Arc-enabled SQL estates.
The opportunity
You’ll join a growing Microsoft Partner where you can influence delivery standards, improve support readiness and help develop the team’s Azure capability. The role is fully remote, with occasional travel to customer sites where required.
If you’re an Azure engineer who enjoys taking ownership of complex platforms and making them easier to deploy, operate and support, we’d like to hear from you.
