Job summary

Deloitte - Recruitment is seeking an Azure DevOps Engineer with a strong cyber security background to design, build and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines for a production-production service. The role involves transitioning a proof-of-concept system into a scalable, resilient production environment within a regulated financial setting.

You will deploy and support AI agents or software in live environments, implement automation and IaC, and work with security and engineering teams to meet deployment

Qualifications

• 4–5 years’ relevant experience in Azure engineering, DevOps or a closely related role.
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, including repositories, pipelines, artefacts and release management.
• Proven experience deploying and supporting software or AI agents in live production environments within a controlled, regulated setting.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD principles, branching strategies and automated deployment practices.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Bicep or ARM templates.
• Working knowledge of Azure services, cloud networking, identity and access management, secrets management and security controls.
• Cyber security experience, ideally within banking, insurance or another regulated financial-services environment.
• Experience using scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash or Python.
• Good understanding of production support, monitoring, incident management and operational resilience.

Responsibilities

• Embed security controls, automated testing and quality gates throughout the software delivery lifecycle.
• Implement infrastructure-as-code and deployment automation across development, test and production environments.
• Work with cyber security, engineering, architecture and operational teams to agree production requirements and deployment standards.
• Configure monitoring, logging and alerting to support operational resilience and effective incident response.
• Troubleshoot pipeline, environment and deployment issues, identifying opportunities to improve reliability and performance.

The Role
