Job summary

LA International is seeking an experienced Azure DevOps Engineer for a 12-month contract. Remote with up to four days onsite per week in London. Rate £400–£500 per day via Umbrella.

You will design, implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and DevOps best practices on Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate has hands-on Azure services expertise, IaC experience (Terraform/ARM/Bicep), containerization with Docker and AKS, plus monitoring and security integrations.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Azure cloud services and DevOps best practices.
• Proficient in Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines using YAML.
• IaC experience with Terraform, ARM Templates or Bicep.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes (AKS).
• Scripting in PowerShell, Bash or Python; familiarity with Azure CLI.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
• Automate build, deployment, testing and release processes.
• Manage cloud infrastructure with Terraform/ARM/Bicep; ensure high availability and security.
• Deploy containerized apps with Docker and Kubernetes (AKS).
• Implement monitoring (Azure Monitor, Application Insights) and security practices.
• Collaborate with Development, QA, Security and Operations; mentor juniors.

We are looking for an experienced Azure DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, cloud environments, and DevOps best practices on Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Azure services, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), containerization, monitoring, and release management.

Key Responsibilities

DevOps & CI/CD

• Design, develop, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps YAML pipelines.
• Automate build, deployment, testing, and release processes.
• Implement branch management, version control, and release strategies.
• Improve deployment reliability and reduce manual intervention through automation.

Cloud Infrastructure

• Provision and manage Azure infrastructure using Terraform, ARM Templates, or Bicep.
• Configure and maintain Azure resources including VMs, App Services, AKS, Azure Functions, and Storage Accounts.
• Ensure high availability, scalability, and security of cloud environments.

Containerization & Orchestration

• Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes (AKS).
• Monitor and optimize Kubernetes clusters.
• Implement container security best practices.

Monitoring & Security

• Implement monitoring and logging using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, and Grafana.
• Perform root cause analysis and troubleshoot production issues.
• Implement DevSecOps practices including vulnerability scanning and compliance checks.

Automation & Scripting

• Develop automation scripts using PowerShell, Azure CLI, Bash, or Python.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and operational support activities.
• Optimize deployment processes and operational workflows.

Collaboration

• Work closely with Development, QA, Security, and Operations teams.
• Participate in architecture discussions and DevOps transformation initiatives.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote DevOps best practices.

Key Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on experience in Azure Cloud Services.
• Expertise in Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines using YAML.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code:
