Job summary

Bank of England are seeking a Lead Solution Architect to drive the architecture for a flagship regulatory data collection platform. You will lead the design and delivery, shaping how data is collected, processed and integrated within the Bank’s data environment.

The role is hybrid from London or Leeds with a salary up to £90,360, plus an 8% cash benefits allowance and a discretionary bonus, on a 21-month FTC with potential for permanency.

Qualifications

• Lead the architecture behind regulatory data collection platforms.
• Produce high-quality architectural artefacts (HLDs, blueprints, target states).
• Ensure solutions meet Bank of England standards for security and data.

Responsibilities

• Develop technology strategies, roadmaps and artefacts guiding platforms.
• Lead architectural governance and ensure alignment with standards.
• Shape secure data architectures across Azure services (ingestion, modelling, metadata).
• Collaborate with Technology, Data, Policy and Delivery to influence decisions.
